Rankin Field Weapons Range

Nestled in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Rankin Field Weapons Range stands out as the prime shooting destination in Tulare. Established in 1940, the field holds a rich history tied to the training of US Army Air Corps flight cadets during World War II. Today, it offers a comprehensive shooting experience:

Facilities:

• A 100-yard rifle range
• A 5 to 25-yard pistol range
• Welcomes .22 rifles, pistols, black powders, muzzle loaders, and shotguns

Classes and Instructions:

Tulare County CCW Classes – 8 hour Classroom and Shooting Instruction – Initial ONLY: $125.00. Exclusive to Tulare County residents. Covers principles of self-defense, interacting with law enforcement, firearm retention, and target engagement.

Tulare County CCW Classes – 4 hour Classroom and Shooting Instruction – Renewal Only: $65.00. Renewal CCW permit class, encompassing Tulare County Sheriff’s Office live fire requirements and AB 2103 compliance.

Basic Handgun – Classroom and Shooting Instruction: $75.00 for a 3-hour session.

Membership and Admission:

DAILY ADMISSION: $30/day, with a yearly $5 registration fee

LIMITED MEMBERSHIP: $125/year. Reduced day fee of $5 per visit.

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP: $250/year for 2 people. No day fee.

GROUP MEMBERSHIP: $450/year for 4 people. No day fee.
