Situated approximately 25 miles West of downtown Tucson, Arizona on U.S. Route 86, the Three Points Public Shooting Range offers a historical and comprehensive shooting experience. Marked just past Mile Post 148, the entrance beckons on the north side of the roadway, about 2.5 miles West of Robles Junction.

Operating Hours: Open from Monday to Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitors are advised to arrive no later than 3:30 p.m. to ensure ample time for target setup and cleanup. Please be aware that the range may have abbreviated hours or be closed due to extreme weather conditions, emergency repairs, scheduled matches, and events. Always best to consult the TRC Calendar or call the Range Office before your visit. Special note: The range is closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays.

History & Legacy: Rooted in tradition, the Tucson Rifle Club (TRC) was first organized in 1896 and received its charter from the National Rifle Association in 1919, making it one of the oldest continuously operating shooting clubs in Arizona. The current site of the Three Points Public Shooting Range became operational on April 12, 1969, thanks to the indefatigable efforts of TRC President, Milt Hood, who was recognized by the NRA for his outstanding contributions.

Accolades & Achievements: TRC boasts an impressive track record in the shooting sports, from holding state, national, and international silhouette championships to pioneering the rules for pistol silhouette. As a Civilian Marksmanship Program affiliate, TRC members also enjoy the privilege of purchasing rifles, ammunition, and spare parts from the CMP.

Facilities & Usage: The range provides several shooting areas available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. A nominal daily range fee applies for non-members. Those keen on exploring membership benefits can consult TRC’s Bylaws, meeting minutes, and FAQs. Reservations for specific ranges can also be made, and details are available on their calendar page.
