Founded in 1947, the Sportsmen’s Club of Clifton Park (SCoCP) boasts a rich history, with over 75 years of serving sports enthusiasts in the region.

Strengths:

  1. Variety of Training Opportunities: From New York State Pistol Permit Safety Courses, personal firearms training for all skill levels, NRA Range Safety Officer Training, to IPSC Safety Briefings and more, the club offers a diverse range of learning experiences.
  2. Extensive Facilities:
    • Trap Range: Three fully equipped and ATA certified trap fields with top-of-the-line Pat-Traps, wireless Canterbury Voice Release Systems, and lighting for night operations.
    • Rifle Ranges: The club features a 200-yard rifle range with targets at multiple distances and a larger, covered 300-yard range.
    • Plinking Range: An outdoor, fun-oriented range suitable for a variety of targets.
    • Pistol Range: An indoor heated shooting facility offering varied target distances.
    • Archery: Indoor facilities are complete with unique equipment such as the Spike Press, arrow cut-off saw, bow vice, and bow scale. Outside, there’s a general practice range, broadhead practice range, and a challenging field course.

Membership Details:

The club operates on a members-only basis, but it does allow accompanied guests. Interested parties can join the club by getting on the waiting list, with an annual membership fee of $150 (discount available for online payments) and a one-time initiation fee of $200. The renewal process is streamlined, with online renewals being the preferred method. Members can also renew in person at specified dates. The club has adopted a zero-tolerance policy concerning late dues payments.
