Hurricane Creek Shooting Range

Hurricane Creek Shooting Range is a favored destination for firearm enthusiasts in Houston, Alabama. Boasting a well-maintained area, visitors commend its affordability, often highlighting that the price is hard to beat. The range provides various distances to cater to different shooting needs, including 25, 50, and 100 yards. Additionally, it features 4 double-sided shooting benches.

Guests are advised to bring their own stands and targets since some poles at the range have been shot down, especially on the medium range wire stands. There’s a noticeable absence of poles for the short range. For those concerned about amenities, rest assured, as the shooting range offers clean public restrooms, ensuring comfort during your visit.

While many praise the range for being uncrowded even on peak days, like Saturdays, some have mentioned that it can get a bit busy during hunting season. It’s also a good idea to bring string along when you visit. The drive into the shooting range might feel a bit rugged, but rest assured, even small cars have been able to navigate it without issue.

A word of caution: there was an isolated incident reported a couple of years ago about theft from a vehicle. It’s always a good practice to ensure the safety of your belongings wherever you go.
