Opened in 1992, Coyote Valley Sporting Clays provides an outstanding experience in a naturally beautiful valley, with the vision of creating a family-oriented shotgun range and event facility. Owners Tom and Nancy Ebert, along with their dedicated staff, offer consistent and quality customer service in a high-end atmosphere.

  • Sporting Clays: A clay target shooting sport for all ages that replicates every conceivable field shot. Described by some as “golf with a shotgun,” it challenges participants with different targets simulating various game species.
  • 20 Shooting Stations: Located in natural settings, stations offer varied shots like flushing birds and incoming targets.
  • Various Targets: Includes standard clay birds, midi, mini targets, flat disc-shaped “battue” targets, and special rabbit targets.
  • Equipment Rentals: From shotguns to golf carts, everything needed for a day at the range is available.


  • Main Course Targets: $0.54 per target. There’s no range fee, and participants only pay for the targets they release.
  • Skeet & Trap Targets: $9 for 25 targets, with discounts available for bulk token purchases.
  • Practice Fields Targets: $0.54 per target.
  • Ammunition: Prices for 12 and 20-gauge shells start at $18.99 for a box of 25.
  • Equipment Rentals: Varies, from shotgun rentals at $0.15 per shot ($15 minimum) to golf cart rentals at $30 for 2.5 hours.

Coyote Valley’s ProShop is a primary source for clay targets and hunting shotguns in the bay area, stocking brands like Browning and Beretta. They also provide FFL transfer services for long guns, though there are guidelines and charges involved.

While many reviews are positive, a few patrons have had less-than-satisfactory experiences, indicating occasional hiccups in service.
