Central Alabama Gun Club

Tucked away approximately 14 miles east of Montgomery near Shorter, Alabama, the Central Alabama Gun Club Range (CAGC) offers a premier private shooting facility. As a member-owned club, it provides a dedicated space for gun enthusiasts to engage in their passion.

Facilities & Features:

Extensive Range Facilities: CAGC boasts of 14 pistol bays, dedicated 100 & 300-yard rifle ranges, a falling plate pistol bay, and two rimfire steel bays.
Additional Amenities: For archery aficionados, there’s an archery range. Shotgun lovers can enjoy the 5-stand, although it’s temporarily closed.
Comfort: On those hot Alabama days, relax in the air-conditioned clubhouse. And, for convenience, restrooms are available, with the 100-yard range restroom recently reopened.
Safety First: A fully operational AED is accessible in the clubhouse bathroom for emergencies. Plus, eye protection is mandatorily required outside any building or car – safety is paramount.

Membership & Events:

Exclusivity with Open Events: While CAGC is a members-only range, they warmly welcome the public for all events and matches.
Membership Information: Those interested in membership can join by paying a $100 initiation fee plus prorated annual dues. The next club meeting, scheduled for November 4th, 2023, is an excellent opportunity for prospective members to join. Attendees are also encouraged to participate in the “STOP THE BLEED” class, a mandatory course for match directors.
Keep Updated: Members can stay informed via the bulletin board on the members’ page, which also serves as a marketplace for firearms and accessories.
Becoming a Member: To join CAGC, a valid NRA membership number is essential. Additionally, attending a club meeting for a mandatory safety briefing and to obtain a key card is required.
