Located in picturesque Chugiak, Alaska, the Birchwood Recreation & Shooting Park (BRSP) is a haven for shooting enthusiasts. Founded in 1964, this expansive facility sprawls across 72 acres alongside the serene Cook Inlet. BRSP boasts an impressive array of ranges tailored for different shooting disciplines. With its proximity to the Glenn Highway and the Birchwood Airport, access is easy and convenient.

Key Features:

  1. Rifle & Pistol Ranges: Eight diverse ranges equipped with over 100 covered firing points. Distances range from 7 yards to 300 meters. Several of these have added comforts like lighting and heaters.
  2. Shotgun Ranges: Offers a variety of shotgun disciplines including 5 trap, 4 skeet, 3 Five-Stand fields, a sporting clays course, and an international bunker trap. Twelve of these fields are lit for night shooting.
  3. Archery: A walk-through 3D archery course.
  4. Camping: Facilities for RV camping with water and electrical hookups and tent sites available, ideal for the summer season.
  5. Team & Leadership: A dedicated team led by Jim Stoneking, the Executive Director, and a democratically elected board of directors to ensure smooth operations.
