The Fox Range, located in the picturesque town of Fox, Alaska, offers a unique shooting experience tailored to both novices and seasoned shooters. Founded in 2020, this range originally served as a pistol competition hub for Fairbanks Alaska Shooters (FAS) but has since expanded into a full-fledged shooting facility. The upgrades include a classroom, a pro-shop, expanded parking areas, and larger shooting bays.

Features:

  • Three flat shooting bays measuring between 75-150 feet.
  • A well-stocked pro-shop with ammunition, reloading supplies, and various range accessories.
  • A spacious classroom that doubles as a rest area, complete with facilities to load magazines and enjoy a warm beverage during chilly days.
  • Steel targets and stands available in each bay. Note: Steel targets are designed exclusively for pistol calibers.

Membership & Access: For a yearly fee of $295, you can avail of the Family Membership. This gives you, your spouse, and children in your household full access to the range. Additionally, members get two guest passes per month and exclusive access to steel targets for an enhanced range experience.

Operational Hours:

  • Winter (Oct 1 – April 14): Thursday-Sunday, 11 am – 6 pm or till legal sunset.
  • Summer (April 15 – Sept 30): Wednesday 5 pm-8 pm, Thursday-Sunday 9 am-9 pm.

Activities & Classes:

  • USPSA Pistol Competition: Join the FAS every Tuesday at 6 pm, and the 1st & 3rd Sundays at 10 am from May through September.
  • Cowboy Action Shooting: Step back in time and participate in this classic American shooting experience on the 2nd & 4th Sundays at 12 pm from May through September.
  • Self-Defense & Firearm Classes: From concealed carry and basic firearm usage to advanced courses, the Fox Range hosts a slew of classes managed by expert instructors.
