Features: The range proudly offers four distinct shooting ranges, with distances ranging up to 100 yards. These are set side by side, each with a dividing berm, ensuring independent access for shooters. For those interested in shotguns, an exclusive area for clay targets is available, just north of the 100-yard rifle range. The entire establishment is wheelchair friendly, complete with concrete walkways for smooth access to the target lines.

Operations and Management: This renowned shooting range is a collaborative effort between the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries and the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Hours of Operation:

Summer Hours (April – September): Wednesday – Sunday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Winter Hours (October – March): Wednesday – Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Note: The range remains closed during the open duck season, which for 2023-2024 is from November 18 to February 3.) The range is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Licensing Requirement: For Alabama residents aged 16-64, a valid hunting, heritage, fishing, or WMA license is essential. Non-residents aged 16 or above should possess a valid WMA or non-resident hunting license. Licenses can be procured online, via phone at 1-888-848-6887, or by visiting a local retail vendor.
