Skyline WMA Shooting Range offers a premier shooting experience for firearm enthusiasts. With two ranges spanning distances of 50 and 200 yards, it caters to different shooting needs. Separated by a dividing berm, these ranges enable shooters to operate independently, ensuring a smooth shooting session. Additionally, there’s a designated concrete pad for those interested in shotgun clay target shooting. Both ranges are wheelchair accessible and equipped with concrete walkways leading downrange to the target lines.

Hours of Operation:
Open during daylight hours, with special permissions available via permit.

License Requirements:

  • Alabama residents aged 16-64 need to have a valid hunting, heritage, fishing, or WMA license.
  • Nonresidents aged 16 and older require a valid WMA license or a non-resident hunting license. Licenses can be procured online, via phone at 1-888-848-6887, or through a community retail vendor.

Range Regulations:

  • No alcoholic beverages permitted.
  • Legal firearms and ammunition, barring armor-piercing or tracer types, are allowed.
  • Firearms should remain unloaded with muzzles pointed downrange unless firing.
  • Shooting is permitted only from designated stations with specified targets.
  • Cleanup is mandatory – including disposing of used targets, brass, and shotgun hulls.
