The range operates under the guidance of dedicated volunteer Range Safety Officers (RSOs), who themselves are experienced shooters. Their primary mission? Ensuring the safety and well-being of every guest and member who graces the premises.

Key Features:

  • Training for RSOs: Offered at no cost, the training covers vital areas such as firearm safety, rule reviewing, firing line monitoring, and emergency first aid procedures.
  • Operating Hours: The range is open from Saturdays through Mondays. During winter months (starting November 1st), it operates from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Conversely, in summer (starting April 1st), the hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Fees: WMSA members are charged $2.00/day, while non-WMSA members are charged $8.00/day. Only cash or checks are accepted.
  • Ammunition Restrictions: There are certain limitations on the type of ammunition that can be used on the range. Explosive targets, armor-piercing rounds, and tracers are strictly prohibited.
  • Bay Reservations: The facility offers four competition/training bays, along with a 50-yard range and 100-yard range available for reservations.
  • Membership Benefits: Members receive a 75% reduction in range fees, are eligible for firearm and ammunition purchases via the WMSA’s affiliation with the Civilian Marksmanship Program, and are part of an organization promoting firearm sports and training.

Directions: The range is easily accessible via State Highway 60, located just 4.5 miles east of the intersection of the 77 and the 60 at the northeast corner of Show Low. Clear signs will guide visitors to the destination.
