Nanticoke Sportsmen's Club - Shooting Ranges

Discover a haven for shooting and archery enthusiasts tucked away between Concord and Bethel, southeast of Seaford. Covering almost 50 acres, this versatile space offers:

Over 15 different ranges for Pistols, Rifles, Shotguns, Trap, Steel shooting, and more.
An advanced Indoor Electronic Archery range.
A well-maintained 3D Archery course.
A host of public events every month, from Blackpowder to Trap shooting.
An inviting clubhouse.

Schedule Highlights:

Action Pistol/Steel Challenge: 3rd Sunday @ 8:30 AM, $5.
Blackpowder: 1st and 3rd Saturday @ 9:00 AM, $5.
D.L.E.M.A: 2nd Saturday @ 9:00 AM, $12 membership/$8 range fee.
Indoor Range: Mondays @ 6:00 PM (Winter Months Only), $5.

Trap Shooting: Every Wednesday from dusk, $5 per round of 25 targets.

Summer 2023 Trap Update:

Closed on Wednesdays from May 31 to August 9.

Resumes on August 16 at dusk.

New Sunday Shoots: June 4, July 9, and August 6 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Indoor 4D Archery:

Thursday Night Leagues – $45/person.

Sunday Practice – $5.

Membership:

Joining Nanticoke Sportsmen’s Club comes with prestige, given its limited openings. Potential members should be aware of the following:

Proof of NRA membership is required.

Applicants are interviewed and voted on by stockholders.

Must maintain NRA membership, be 18+, and legally own a firearm.

Associate Membership fees are $150 for 2023.

20 volunteer hours annually reduce the next year’s dues by 50%.

Attend a minimum of 4 out of the 12 club meetings annually.

Range Safety Class is mandatory for new members.

Safety and Conduct:

The club is strict about safety. There are rules on firearm handling, range conduct, guest behavior, shooting timings, and more. Specific restrictions on firearm types, shooting modes, and range etiquette apply to ensure everyone’s safety.

However, a minor issue raised by some is the outdoor range’s temperature, which can get a tad warm during certain seasons. The club’s commitment to safety and professionalism ensures that such minor discomforts are more than offset by the overall experience.
