History and Legacy: Mike Raahauge’s Shooting Range is steeped in history. For over 30 years, it has been a beacon for shooting enthusiasts, training some of the world’s most expert shooters. The Raahauge family legacy traces back to the 1950s when Linc Raahauge operated a pheasant hunting facility in Dixon, CA. The move to their present location was influenced by a serendipitous detour to Disneyland. Over the decades, the range has expanded its offerings, introducing sporting clays in the 1980s and hosting significant events like the Hands-On Shooting Sports Fair.

Conservation and Safety: Preserving American heritage, the range also doubles as a sanctuary for migrating waterfowl, offering views from the Cleveland National Forest to the San Bernardino mountain range. Moreover, the facility is deeply committed to promoting firearm safety. Numerous Hunter Safety Courses are held here, where students learn about firearm operations, first aid, game identification, and more. The late Mike Raahauge held this education dear, emphasizing the importance of a safe environment for firearm handling.

Today: The range is bustling with activities, from fun shoots and youth shooting education to morning duck hunts and hands-on rifle courses. Annual events like the Youth Days and Hands-On Sports Fair continue to draw large crowds. The Raahauge family, with their enduring passion for the sport and community, still plays an active role in the range’s day-to-day operations.

Note: While the range offers an extensive and enjoyable experience, visitors are advised to remain alert as occasional stray bullets have been reported. Safety remains paramount at all times.
