Established in 1990, the Central Arkansas Shooters Association (CASA) is a hub for shooting enthusiasts and those looking for a well-equipped facility to hone their skills. Though originally envisioned as a private club, CASA opens its doors to the public during pistol match days.

Facilities and Amenities:

  • 14 pistol ranges equipped with nine 12′ x 12′ sheds for protection against the elements.
  • A Club House furnished with separate restrooms for men and women, air conditioning, and heating.
  • Essential utilities such as running water, a refrigerator, and a microwave.
  • A spacious 40′ x 60′ pavilion ideal for meetings or relaxation during summer months.
  • Rifle Ranges at 100 and 200 yard distances.

Shooting Sports: CASA proudly offers three shooting sports, namely USPSA, IDPA, and the Steel Challenge. Notably, the club has hosted four National IDPA events and the Arkansas USPSA Section Championship for over a decade. Steel Challenge matches, which are particularly beginner-friendly and cost-effective, are held on the second Saturday of every month.

Membership: For those interested in becoming a member, CASA offers an honor-system-based access to all facilities. Members must be at least 21 years old, possess a legal handgun in Arkansas, maintain an NRA membership throughout their CASA membership, and demonstrate their safety and gun handling skills. First-year membership includes a $250 fee plus a $100 joining fee, with possible discounts for subsequent years based on participation and contribution.

Reviews: Visitors commend CASA for its excellent facilities nestled in the mountains, smooth gravel driveways, and impeccably maintained grounds. Many appreciate the club’s professional members and the top-notch events hosted there. It’s often described as a “great place to practice shooting,” with reviewers praising its “well-kept grounds” and “beautiful countryside.” The consensus is that CASA offers a unique blend of professional shooting opportunities with a warm and welcoming community.
