Celebrating 50 years of providing excellent shooting sports facilities, Griffin Gun Club stands as a beacon for shooting enthusiasts in Spalding County. This family-oriented club caters to both members and their families, offering a range of activities from youth clay target shotgun training to rimfire rifle competitions.

About Our Club

Nestled on an 85-acre property, Griffin Gun Club boasts an impressive array of facilities:

• Four skeet fields and two trap fields for clay target enthusiasts.
• A 100-yard rifle range and a 50-yard rimfire range, perfect for precision shooting.
• Three pistol bays and an additional 50-yard bay for both rifle and pistol shooting.
• A spacious clubhouse with a capacity of 75, featuring a professionally-equipped kitchen.
• Plans for expansion include two more trap fields and an additional pistol bay.

Members and their families enjoy access to these facilities daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Club Activities

Clay Targets:

• Daily access to skeet and trap fields, with lighting for evening shoots.
• Host to five area Youth Shotgun teams and two 4-H Club teams.
• Regularly scheduled Skeet tournaments and trap shoots.
• A shotgun patterning board and a 5-Stand sporting clays range.

Rifle:

• The 100-yard rifle range hosts Benchrest Competitions, Military Rifle shoots, and sight-in opportunities for hunters.
• The Griffin Long Rifles group holds monthly Black Powder Shoots.

Handgun:

• Facilities for centerfire and rimfire pistol target shooting.
• Regular members’ fun shoots featuring action-pistol scenarios and Cowboy fun shoots.

Safety and Training:

• Safety and orientation briefings for new members.
• State-of-the-art target systems and modern facilities.

Membership & Renewals:

• Membership process includes attending a monthly meeting and securing a proposer and endorser.
• Spouses and children under 18 included in memberships.
