Located within 20 minutes of most metropolitan locations in Birmingham, Xtreme Brush Cutters, also known as the Southern Skeet and Trap Club (SSTC), boasts over a century-long legacy. Established as a quintessential resource for bird hunters and shotgun enthusiasts, SSTC serves as a hub for those keen on enhancing their shooting prowess.

Facilities:

  • Skeet Fields: SSTC is equipped with five dedicated skeet fields and an additional international skeet field. These facilities ensure minimal wait times for members and guests. The club emphasizes the regular calibration of its machines to provide consistent practice and competition experiences.
  • Trap Fields: The club proudly offers three dedicated trap fields, incorporating voice-activated machines for a consistent target presentation.
  • 5-Stand: SSTC features a comprehensive 5-Stand with nine distinct machines, including Rabbits, Battues, and Wobble. This zone is perfect for both novice and experienced shooters. To elevate the experience, the field is fitted with lights and offers a diverse range of sporting clay-like targets.

  • Youth Program: In alliance with the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), SSTC sponsors the “Vulcan Clay Breakers” youth team. This initiative offers free training to students, ranging from age eleven through college. The program fosters not only skill development in skeet and trap shooting but also instills positive character traits and citizenship values.
  • Archery Range (Upcoming): By Spring 2023, SSTC plans to unveil a sprawling 1.5-acre archery venue, dotted with an assortment of 3-D and target practice zones.
