Located in south San Jose, Field Sports Park is the only publicly owned firing range in the County. Catering to both rifle and pistol enthusiasts, as well as trap and skeet shooters, this facility offers a myriad of opportunities for both beginners and seasoned pros. Visitors can indulge in league activities and join special events held throughout the year.

  • 5 trap fields and 5 skeet fields
  • 22 covered pistol or rimfire positions at 7, 15, and 25 yards
  • 26 partly covered rifle positions at 50 and 100 yards
  • 16 covered positions at the 200-yard range
  • A multi-purpose range

Note: The 200-yard and multi-purpose ranges can be reserved upon showing a valid permit.


Hours of Operation:

Trap and Skeet Range:

  • Mon: 4-8pm
  • Tue: 4-8pm
  • Wed: 4-8pm
  • Sat & Sun: 10-4pm

Rifle and Pistol Range:

  • Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat & Sun: 8-4pm

200 Yard Range:

  • Open the fourth weekend of each month (weather permitting) from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Fees:

  • Trap/Skeet: $9 per round/game, $7 for league members, and $18 for double trap (50 targets)
  • Rifle/Pistol: $15 for adults, $10 for seniors 60+/disabled/Veterans/Peace Officers, and $6 for juniors (under 13)
  • 200 Yard Range: $20 per shooter (no discounts apply)

Additional costs for eye/ear protection and extra targets. Bringing human silhouette targets, including zombies or robots, is prohibited.


Safety and Regulations:

All visitors are to follow strict safety procedures to ensure everyone’s well-being. This includes wearing ear and eye protection, adhering to firearm handling rules, and following the instructions of the Range Masters. Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited, and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
